Jalostaja herring products, made in Finland, are an epitome of Finnish cuisine. The herring used in Jalostaja products are fished sustainably from the northeastern Atlantic and are salted according to the Finnish herring traditions. At Suomen Sillikonttori in Uusikaupunki, the herring are filleted, cut into pieces, seasoned and put into jars manually. The fact that the products are made in Finland is indicated by the Key Flag Symbol, which you can find on every jar.
