St-Louis Kriek was presented for the first time already in 1958, in honor of the Brussels World Exhibition. This Kriek is sweeter than more traditional lambics, but made with a lambic base. Oblacinska cherries are macerated in geuze for six months until their juice is used to make this Kriek. This cherry beer is clearly sweet, but the pleasantly refreshing acidity balances the whole thing nicely.
