Sweet with hints of honey, dates and figs. The sweet mouthfeel is refreshed by noticeable acidity. Grape: Sylvaner Dessert on its own or with cheeses or fruit desserts. Wonderful German dessert wine, made from grapes harvested frozen after the first autumn frosts. The grapes are pressed gently, so that the frozen water remains in the press, and the grape juice is particularly sugary and strongly flavored. Eiswein is only made when the grapes remain healthy and of good quality until the first frosts.
