Our Vapaa milk comes from farms where cows live in barns and have outdoor access throughout the year. It has been awarded Finland’s first independent ELVI welfare label for production animals. The wellbeing of the cows is regularly monitored according to the Welfare Quality® system. The farms have earned the system’s highest or second-highest rating. VAPAA semi-skimmed milk is naturally good: it contains plenty of calcium and B-vitamin. And you get protein and vitamin D in the same glass. Our milk is fresh and invigorating. It has not been treated to give it an extended shelf life (ESL). Maitomaa, a Savonian dairy that is over one hundred years old, advocates for more sustainable milk production.
