This is the genuine Italian origin protected Parmigiano Reggiano DOP. The flavour is rich, aged and slightly salty, but can also have almost sweet notes. The texture is hard. Grate it over pasta dishes or oven baked dishes. Or try mixing grated parmigiano into pie dough for a delicate, spicy flavour. You can also enjoy it as it is.
