Borsch, or beetroot soup, is a soup of Ukrainian origin, which Unesco has included in its list of intangible cultural heritage as the Ukrainian national dish. Borsch soup mainly consists of root vegetables such as beetroot, cabbage, potato and carrot, as well as spices.
Traditionally, borsch is cooked on low heat and the cooking time is long. However, Nizhyn Ukrainian borsch can be prepared just in a few minutes, and in addition to saving time, you get a soup that tastes like home-made. You can make borsch more filling and tastier by adding pork to the soup.
